Now that the dust has settled we thought we'd take some time to let you know how lucky we feel that Terri Peters & Associates was available to take on the task of managing our two day estate auction. It was a very big job that we did not look forward to in the least, but after meeting with your representative Tim for an hour or so it became clear that getting the work done would not only have a positive outcome, but would be a valuable and enjoyable experience as well. We started out with a house full of just stuff, but soon learned that each of the items could have an interesting story to tell, no matter how much or how little it was worth. We engaged Terri Peters & Associates to market and ultimately sell our home furnishings through an estate sale in June of this year. Many of the furnishings were contemporary high-end designer label items acquired over the years from American, Canadian and European studios. Terri Peters & Associates Auction and Estate Marketing perform with spirit and professionalism. My seller of a beautiful 3200 sq ft home had signed a contract with a questionable outfit claiming to have experience with estate sales. What a mistake that was but we were able to break free. We were fortunate that Terri and her team could find time for us. They saved the sale. There were buyers from near and far and they kept coming the whole day. I don't know how she does it but that house was virtually cleared out in about 6 hours. She wasn't giving away the farm either; items were sold at a fair market price for a decent net to my seller. "When my dad passed we had no idea what to do with all the furniture and belongs he and my mom acquired over the years - 63 to be exact. We posted items on E-Bay / Craig's list, people scheduled appointments, many said they'd get back to us or were no shows. After 40 years of accumulating furniture and other household items that each had a story behind them, we decided to start a new life 2400 miles away in southern Arizona. We called Terri Peters and Associates to take care of the sale of most of our memories in the form of our things. They were respectful and careful, taking time to research the value of each item, and catalogue them. They didn’t try to persuade us to sell the items we wanted to keep, and showcased what we had, very carefully. Some of the larger items didn’t sell on the day of the sale, but Terri continued to negotiate with buyers for 10 days after the sale, succeeding in finding homes for most of them. On the day of the sale, they had a good crew of people here to monitor our home and help the large number of buyers with their purchases. They were always cheerful, helpful and friendly with us, and always available by phone to answer our questions and concerns, returning phone calls promptly if not immediately there. Terri itemized for us a printed copy listing each of 400 items with their sale price. She was careful in her accounting and settled up with us promptly.
